Green tea causes weight loss of approximately five grams per day. You will immediately lose weight from caffeine, but this is temporary water loss.
I use tea to increase energy levels for aerobic exercise. Adding sugar is Okay, but do not add milk or cream to green tea, it eliminates the health benefits.
Additional benefits of weight loss from whole grains, skim milk or yogurt, and plenty of fibre intakes (min. 25 grams daily) help more. Green tea is excellent to drink daily for small but steady weight loss.
Yerba Mate will provide higher results than green tea, due to increased levels of antioxidants. It is also ‘green’ but an entirely different tea plant.
I consume green tea up to six cups daily. This tea is excellent for oral hygiene, and includes many health benefits besides weight loss.
