Blooming Tea

Blooming Tea

If you want to add fun to Tea Drinking, you must buy a pack of blooming teas. Blooming tea, which is also known as Flowering Tea, is made by putting together dried Tea Leaves, herbs and flowers into a small bundle like a ball. When steeped in a transparent teapot or teacups, you can see these bundles bloom into flowers. The blooming tea makes the whole process of making and drinking tea more enjoyable.

Tea has been enjoyed all over the world for centuries. In fact, the Chinese discovered the tea about 4,000 years ago. Those who have been drinking tea for years would really appreciate this novel idea of blooming teas. The blooming tea is largely exported from the Yunnan province of China, which is closer to the borders of Laos and Vietnam. The blooming tea bundles use the flowers, such as, globe amaranth, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lily, hibiscus, and osmanthus. The blooming teas could be steeped a few times depending upon the quality and variety being used. The blooming teas are fragrant and aromatic in nature. These tea leaves do not get bitter with too much steeping.

The process of making blooming tea includes picking of black, white and Green Tea in the early mornings. This ensures that the tea leaves are damp and easy to flatten and tied in a bundle. The process of bundling could take anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes depending upon the shape and design (for example: balls, mushrooms, cones, etc.) After this, the teas go through the drying, oxidation and firing process.

To enjoy the beauty of blooming teas, one must place one tea bundle in the glass teapot (preferably) and pour boiling water into it. The leaves start unfurling slowly when they come into contact with hot water. You could steep the leaves for 2-3 minutes minimum or as desired. You could re-steep the blooming teas a few times at least. The best thing about blooming teas is not just enjoying the Benefits Of Tea and the amazing flavor but also the process of making tea becomes so enjoyable. Blooming tea is also an excellent gift idea.

So go ahead and make you daily cup of tea a creative and enjoyable experience.
